THE BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE
A Book of Remembrance has been commissioned for St. Patrick's Church, Redfield, Bristol. to provide a simple memorial and a lasting record. This unique book offers you the opportunity of permanently remembering a loved one, no matter how long ago they may have died.
The book is in two half yearly volumes, hand made, bound in green goatskin leather with a central vellum panel, tolled in gold, depicting a celtic cross. The leaves are of archival quality mould paper with hand gilded edges in 23 carat gold leaf. The memorial inscriptions, executed by hand, offers the same degree of permanence and artistic quality as the best examples of medieval illuminated manuscripts.
One page is allocated to each day of the year and the book, displayed in a specially designed mahogany cabinet, will be open at the appropriate page each day, so that inscriptions may be seen on each anniversary, for many years.
